GCA does not want to stop offering individualized education in the early and elementary years, therefore, our constant GCA ways of academic excellence and surpassing standards continues in our secondary education for seventh through twelfth grades. GCA follows the Abeka Curriculum and allows students to begin building an impressive, academic resume with the variety of scholastic opportunities offered at GCA. Each GCA teacher is trained and taught to not only meet the skills found in the TEKS for each grade level, but to exceed them for an exceptional academic experience. Not only do we believe in creating that exceptional academic experience, but we also believe in fostering a love for God and serving others. Each student at GCA will participate in a daily Bible study and daily devotional where they will be encouraged to expand their love and knowledge of God's Kingdom.
We at GCA, believe in working directly with our students and their families to build an educational path that will enhance their future plans and remain individualized to their own needs. We realize all teenagers and young adults need the opportunity to explore different avenues of life and careers that will be available to them in their future endeavors. Therefore, we encourage our students to explore those fields with their families and let us, at GCA, help create a pathway of success for obtaining those goals.
We begin preparing our junior high students (7th and 8th Grade) for the academic standards that will be expected of them in their future High School career. We begin developing their study, organizational, and time management skills that they will need for a successful high school experience by building on their strengths and improving their weaknesses in innovative ways. We incorporate technology and daily life skills with their core curriculum to make the overall experience a victory for all.
GCA is proud to offer a small, private High School experience for ninth through twelfth grade students wishing to obtain a higher education and enjoy the simplicity of smaller class sizes and academic honor. We prepare our high school students for life beyond the walls of GCA once they graduate our program of academic excellence. Not only is the quality of education we offer at GCA important to us, but the quality life skills, strength of faith, and sense of integrity we instill in our students is of the upmost importance as well.
Along with our distinguished Abeka core curriculum, we are also proud to offer a variety of elective courses to create a well rounded and balanced High School Resume, We also take great pride in offering dual credit college courses for those students that qualify academically. This is an opportunity that allows our students to get a head start on their college career and enter a university with many of their basic college hours and credits already completed.
GCA not only offers full time classroom structure for these secondary classes, but part time (Hybrid) and distant learning programs as well. Please refer to the part time (Hybrid) and Distant Learning pages of the website or contact GCA directly for more information on these programs. We look forward to building a program that will work for your family!
