GCA founder, Jody McGlothlin, is exceptionally proud of the amazing teachers and staff that have been hand selected to teach at GCA. We believe in capturing children's hearts and building trusting relationships with our GCA families. Our teachers are highly qualified with years of experience and are eager to work with your family to create a great GCA experience.

Kristin Gilbert is our secondary math teacher, with years of experience in her field. Kristin's first response to everyone regarding her teaching experience at GCA is she gets a true thrill from teaching and getting to know her GCA students. Gilbert is quick to tell anyone she meets the most important thing about her is her faith and dedication to her Christian life. Kristin grew up in Granbury, Texas and graduated from Abilene Christian University with a Bachelors Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with Math and Exercise Sports Science. Kristin enjoyed many years teaching secondary math and coaching in a public school setting before deciding to stay at home for a while with she and her husband, Brad's growing family. She and Brad had three of their own children (Logan, Mollie, and Bailey) and were foster parents for other children as well, before God called them to adopt a sibling group of three (Tray, Daijah, and Tramar) Kristin and Brad, who is firefighter,      enjoy spending time with their children and family and remain active in sports, the outdoors, and their church. Kristin is a vital part of GCA and we are fortunate to have her with us.

Cindy Newcomb knew early in her life that God had blessed her with the gift of caring for others. From volunteering in the church nursery to helping family and friends with children of all ages, her love and passion only grew stronger. She began her journey as a patient care technician in the emergency room, labor and delivery and oncology, and loved touching the lives of her patients and thier families. However, once married to her husband Brad, together they knew upon having children, they desired for Cindy to be a full time mom and wife. When God closed the door to the medical field, he opened a new door and journey for Cindy. It was during that time at home with her children, her persue began in child development and education. Being very committed to her role, she has completed endless hours, classes, research and training in child development, nutrition, health and safety, special needs, as well as parent education classes. Once Caitlyn, Owen, and Devyn were ready for school, Cindy was eager to continue her passion for children and education by teaching in a private school setting. Since 2008, not only has Cindy operated as a lead teacher, but with the work and determination giving 110% of herself and has been blessed with the ability to oversee multiple classrooms, design and implement age appropriate curriculum, and build classrooms. Joining GCA in 2015, Cindy is very excited to be a part of the small town feel and continue teaching in the private setting. She looks foward to the time ahead seeing each student grow and learn in an environment designed for each individual and hopes they too see what God has chosen them to do because, anything is possible with God holding the reins.
